All sorts of self-righteous do gooders are piling in to put the boot in and prevent him using his.

Such bull in a china shop antics are gross in the circumstances. The events that led to his conviction and the process of justice itself are mired in controversy. Everyone involved so far has lost and has much to learn.

Yet the PC brigade have found another victim to ride their brute gender and sexual politics upon. The lynch mob are ranging free and hanging Ched's future on every available branch.

Social media are awash with vitriol, threat and abuse.

Enough of this verbal and social terrorism.

If society is to mature, we must look honestly and equitably at responsibility and choice. Choices to mix with and ingratiate oneself with footballers, celebrities and the wealthy; to party with them and become inebriated and to accompany them back to private bedrooms are laden with intention as is every act of intercourse. So are all the choices made by those in such positions of financial or other advantage.

When society seeks to divine the purpose and permission at play at each stage, it braves subjective ground, often resulting in unsatisfactory outcomes. When its judgement occasions imprisonment, it may be seen to be acting recklessly. When it further seeks to destroy the future of its citizens, 'justice' itself becomes culpable.

Let's hope a football club has the balls to sign him and that our lynch mob, PC driven society learns to play its game better.
