More stoking of the 'vile Islamic savages' propaganda fuelled approach by our manipulative media, while we read so little, for instance, about the Christian atrocities taking place across the world. Shall we start with Jesus Castillo, a Christian who beheaded 800 people. Enlightened modern Muslims approach their faith very much as enlightened modern Christians.However, there are enough of the other, in both camps, to spawn abusive acts. Pointing at the barbarism of another community while overlooking one's own, is a well trodden path leading nowhere. Throughout history the Christian world has invoked the authority of the almighty, from the Crusades to prayers for our Armed Services, whatever the dubiety of their task. The reporting of international events is biased in our favour and this leads to the blinkered compliance with Christian abuses, that their under reporting exhibits. The question that haunts Christianity is how its culture could have given rise to the Crusades, to the Inquisition, to burning at the stake, to two world wars, to the holocaust and to an economic advantage that has created a splintered and unjust world, heavy in suffering. Such barbarity in approach has been largely camouflaged now behind military actions sanctioned through various dubious legal channels or not and the neat corridors of power, banking and trade. The explicit nature of Islamic fanatical barbarity appears in sharp contrast to our more 'officially' applied aggression.
