RELIGION - ONE OF THE LAST OBSTACLES TO PROGRESS

Frederick Potts is clearly correct. Religion is responsible for so much division, hatred and bigotry. It stifles knowledge and development and entrenches swathes of populations in superstitious practices and beliefs. It has caused rivers of blood to flow and drenched the earth in suffering. We need urgently to evolve beyond our dependency on human generated codes of mystical belief that are so deeply flawed and self reflecting. The new frontier awaits, where we take possession of our humanity and are responsible for establishing peace, justice and equality between all, without doffing the cap to a fantasy 'Guv'. It's only when we can achieve this, that our endeavours may succeed and will have any moral worth.
