THIS INNOCENT CHILD IS BEING SEXUALLY ABUSED AND WE HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO STOP IT

We don't normally see their faces - the nameless, hidden victims of child sexual abuse. Even when there is a successful prosecution, the victims remain anonymous largely. This very concealment, while intended to help, actually extracts from our view, the full horror of what is taking place all around us. We need to understand and be informed about this raging malignancy spreading throughout our world. We must be able to hold to account, all those who play a part in permitting it. We must stop all the manipulative ways that paedophiles maintain their ability to destroy lives. We must realise that behind each paedophile convicted there are so many more, that managed to dodge the bullet, who wriggled free because the police or the CPS messed up, or because the court system was not fit for purpose.
