THE JERSEY COVER-UPS OF CHILD ABUSE

Horrific abuse took place because people in positions of authority concealed it. Lies, suppression of information, police ineptitude and punitive action taken against those who were trying to expose it, are all features of the grotesque abuse that took place.
And there will be much gnashing of teeth and recrimination and meaningless apologies offered because it's safe to do so, tucked away in the past.
But the same things are happening in our own day, under our very noses and we haven't the integrity or the will to do anything about it. The result, children are still in dreadful danger of being abused.
