FAULKS INTERVIEW SYMBOLISES THE SUPREME ARROGANCE OF THE ELITE

I was running at the time, listening. We had just been told a Grenfell resident had found her bank account gutted because the council had just taken the rent, though the burning cinders of her death trap home could offer no habitation.

It was evident from the start that Faulks came from another realm. Each answer she gave only made one plummet in despair that such people are given responsibility over the lives of others, especially the most vulnerable.

She oozed a smug contempt, borne of a life so far removed from the Grenfell residents, that empathy was a far distant planet unreachable by advantage.

Mary, Jesus's Mum put it well. Mugged off by having to give birth in an animal compound and then having to escape being murdered by the State, she declared with defiant hope "God has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate." 

It seems that such is a template that must  re-occur throughout history.
