STEPHEN CHITTENDEN - A MAN AFTER MY OWN HEART - I SALUTE YOU

Another vivid example of the insanity of systems that end up doing the opposite of what they were intended to achieve.
Here a good man, with a conscience, had to act to catch a killer and for his integrity he has been punished.
Mr Chittenden said  "I couldn't have lived with myself if (the killer) had done something to somebody else." He reflected, "I thought everyone understood my concerns were with a wider sense of justice."
There are many, including myself, who have acted similarly to stop crime and protect the vulnerable, and yet have been sanctioned for it.
Mr Chittenden, you commented that it was a "sad way to go". No Sir. It is the most honourable way possible. You leave, a man of truth and justice, deserving of far greater respect than those who have found you wanting. Yours is a departure suffused with light.
I salute you.
