It becomes particularly evident in adolescence, when many teenagers who do not want to remain in the classroom, but who want to earn money, are imprisoned in such a manner that it encourages frustration and even anti-social behaviour.
Parents are fined for taking their children away on holidays in term time and are going to be fined for sending in children late. Parents even are jailed for not cooperating with the schools.
Why?
Is it for the good of all children? It is clearly not.
Those who wish to benefit from the educational provision available within this country may do so, but others may wish to make different choices and not be criminalised for doing so.
When one realises that such salaries are being paid to academics, one stumbles upon the vested interests that lie behind this whole system of education.
Our children provide fat salaries, even for the greedy, whether we like it or not.
