PAEDOPHILES ARE NOT SENT TO PRISON BUT FOR UPSKIRTING THEY PROPOSE TWO YEARS

Repeatedly, adults found with a stash of vile child sexual abuse images of the most serious category or who have intended to meet a child for sex are not imprisoned. Indeed the police have recommended that they should not be. Yet here, with this ill considered piece of legislation, we are preparing to jail young people for immature behaviour and brand them for life. If a woman or a man who is upskirted has underwear on, then nothing has been photographed that would not be routinely captured in the background of photographs being taken on a beach. If they have chosen to go commando, then their motivation for doing so and their choice to breach public decency and hygiene concerns, further mire the issue in confusion. The public need to wake up to the danger of over legislating. The police and the courts cannot handle the increased investigation and work load; the present failings and injustices of the judicial process mean that even the innocent are placed in danger; but of more concern, is that we are disempowering our social skills and individual responsibility to handle everyday occurrences appropriately and expeditiously. A humorous, withering or blistering retort, or a slap in the moment is far preferable to months of tortuous, time consuming and life denying legal procedures. Creating fast tracked, social media campaigned and waved through parliament laws, imbalances and jeopardises the gravitas of the judicial system.

IN 1997, WHEN I WAS ARRESTED FOR NAILING MY PROPOSALS FOR REFORM OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND ON THE DOOR OF CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL. WORDS ARE POWERFUL MESSAGES THAT CHALLENGE  CORRUPTION, CONFRONT THE WICKED AND CREATE A BETTER WORLD. JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD AND HIS FOLLOWERS ARE CALLED  TO COMMUNICATE HIS WORDS,  IRRESPECTIVE OF THE COST.
