FAKE NEWS - AH THAT'S THE BBC!

'Fake News' - ah, do you mean the BBC? The curious assumption behind the article and most approaches to this subject, is that fake news differs wholly from legitimate news, just as false information differs wholly from the pure truth provided in school. It would be more accurate to teach children (and adults) that they must hone their critical faculties from the very start, questioning and analysing every piece of data that comes their way, whether from parents, teachers, the traditional news providers or social media. All of it, is to a greater or lesser extent 'fake', in that it is saturated with bias - political, social, financial, intellectual, cultural, national, historical, lingual etc. The anxiety about fake news is that it threatens to expose the duplicity of those who have used information, thus far, to their advantage.

IN 1997, WHEN I WAS ARRESTED FOR NAILING MY PROPOSALS FOR REFORM OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND ON THE DOOR OF CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL. WORDS ARE POWERFUL MESSAGES THAT CHALLENGE  CORRUPTION, CONFRONT THE WICKED AND CREATE A BETTER WORLD. JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD AND HIS FOLLOWERS ARE CALLED  TO COMMUNICATE HIS WORDS,  IRRESPECTIVE OF THE COST.
