WE REMAIN SO HUNG UP ABOUT SEX THAT WE ARE INCAPABLE OF BEING HONEST ABOUT IT

We remain so hung up about sex that we are incapable of being honest about it.  That an adult could choose freely to have sex with another adult for payment appears inconceivable to people's traditional sexual mores and prejudices. The criminalisation of different aspects of what adults choose to do together sexually has only been counter productive and brought real damage and trauma to those affected. However, the moralists and the law appear to have no issue with an 80 year old wealthy man marrying an 18 year old, or a pensioner marrying a young Thai bride, both of whom are not only having sex with another for money, but relinquishing their lives and freedom in the process. More worrying still, is that the moralists and the law have no issue with a 60 year old, having sex with a 16 year old, despite it being abusive, even paedophilic. The law, the courts and the police crash about, like elephants in a china shop, disturbing and violating people's lives in an inconsistent and hypocritical approach to these sensitive personal matters. It is time we became clear thinking and honest in our policies.

IN 1997, WHEN I WAS ARRESTED FOR NAILING MY PROPOSALS FOR REFORM OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND ON THE DOOR OF CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL. WORDS ARE POWERFUL MESSAGES THAT CHALLENGE  CORRUPTION, CONFRONT THE WICKED AND CREATE A BETTER WORLD. JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD AND HIS FOLLOWERS ARE CALLED  TO COMMUNICATE HIS WORDS,  IRRESPECTIVE OF THE COST.
