WHEN THE STATE AND NEIGHBOURS OBLITERATE AN ENTIRE FAMILY

When neighbours and the state interfere with another family's life, they imperil the members of that family, often far more seriously than any problems that are occurring within the family. It is evidenced repeatedly that children survive problem homes, often with greater empathy, social awareness and adult skills than those who have been removed by the state, who often end up disadvantaged in the judicial system. It is also clear that many children would rather suffer problems in their own home, than be exposed to the devastation of being forced with strangers and that their love for their birth family remains intense, despite the suffering they may have known in childhood.   Busy bodies should attend to their own lives. Social Workers and courts should keep a far distance, and only be involved in the direst and rarest of situations. This is a such a tragedy.
