THE FAILINGS OF SAFEGUARDING POLICIES - NO MORE AID TO OXFAM WITHOUT REFORM

No donations should be given to any charity or aid organisation unless they operate a rigorous safeguarding policy. However such policies are presently undermined by the following. 1. Adult self interest that colludes to undermine safeguarding protocols and ensure adults are protected rather than the abused. 2. Victims and whistle blowers that face an unpredictable and often hostile reception that acts as a deterrent to disclose. 3. Paedophiles and sex abusers that have been dismissed, have resigned or have been barred from having access to children using the Harassment Act to silence individuals and organisations from informing others, even future employers, about their past. Unless these failings are addressed, children will remain vulnerable.
