COURTS - THE PLAYGROUNDS OF THE RICH

As you grow older and hopefully wiser, things become increasingly apparent. The scams pulled off continually by systems and adults. One just doesn't expect courts to be part of the merry-go-round. "I regret we went to court" must be a continual refrain. Whether you win or lose, the experience is a blight upon your life and a trauma. You become gobbled up into an archaic hierarchical jungle of dog eat dog, where truth, honour and integrity seem no where to be found. You witness the highly educated parading around sparring off one another for sport and for personal satisfaction without any real, moral or even rational engagement with the cases in hand. The legals pout, pretend and pirouette before the judges that sit in deified isolation, delivering often askew judgements, born of assumption, prejudice or the failure of the system to allow the facts to be aired.Years of waiting, lives on hold, costs mounting, the ugly processes of confrontation and what at the end...something that pours through fingertips as time and the wind deliver destiny's comment.
Of course, for the rich, it is just a pastime, a spin of the roulette wheel here and a court gamble there. Justice appears the last thing on the court's mind.
