THE CPS IS UNACCOUNTABLE AND INCOMPETENT

The CPS is unaccountable and incompetent. It's a honey pot from which the legal profession enjoy millions without proper scrutiny; where personalities and status intrude on probity and effective case management. Freedom of Information requests are denied and high earning, failing staff avoid replacement. One only has to attend court to experience the disconnection between the prosecutor and the cases they are handling, as they flail around the paperwork or their laptops trying to retrieve illusive information. This may not matter if they were responsible for shifting furniture, but criminals and paedophiles escape prosecution through their utter incompetence, and the innocent are convicted, and no one answers for these catastrophes. It seems that all Alison Saunders is willing to do is bleat that an acquittal doesn't mean there wasn't guilt, while the wrongly convicted receive nothing that compensates for the injustice they have suffered.
