WHY ARE PUSHY PARENTS ALLOWED TO ABUSE THEIR CHILDREN?

I was sickened the other evening when I watched Child Genius, having read about it.
It seems that that the rich, the powerful, the educated and the advantaged can sport with children and parade their abused lives on a TV show, to increase their coffers, because it's all under the 'permission' apparently provided by the excuse that they are encouraging/increasing/celebrating their intelligence or their knowledge.
Those poor, hounded, coerced, enslaved and entrapped children twitching to the requirements and expectations of their parent's grandiose desires for them, even being made to compete against their siblings and vanquish them with unrestrained delight.
This programme is the championing of undiluted child abuse.
