THE 'ADVANCES' OF THE DEVELOPED WORLD EDGE US TOWARDS EXTINCTION

Now that is a bitter irony. The endless race towards ever greater wealth and progress, at the expense of all those we have left behind, to be blown apart or die of disease and malnutrition in their own lands, or to drown in the Mediterranean or to be trafficked into disease and death is leading us towards not greater security but oblivion.
It seems that if we won't slow down of our own volition, we may well fall off the edge of existence and then the beleaguered will be able to manage their future, walking over our lost world.
