Can't you tell that this smacks of the detritus that emerges from those who lives are so privileged that £2500 is tiddlywinks and the inconvenient visual nuisance of a rough sleeper, garbage to be swept away into the trash.
Oxford, symbol of the elite, of billions of pounds of wealth and advantage, of the highest academic reaches on earth, has decscended now to become a symbol of the nadir of civilisation.
