One of the remarkable and essential benefits of our internet age has been the liberation of opinion. The chance for anyone to voice their thoughts, without having to have a multi million pound backer or an advertising budget.

True the money Moghuls still control the limelight and most of popular culture, but nevertheless, there is a subversive underbelly to this coerced majority.

The potent contribution, that such as Das, make to the tides of freedom, is underlined by the terror they instill in those that inhabit the shadows and who want to hack their way to silence.

In such silence, we remain dumb recipients and captives of the monster voices booming from religion, business, politics and the past.

Yet the truth endures, that while ever there is thought, there are words. Blogging and the rest allows them to be shared and their creativity to take root and the new, often better unknown, to emerge.
