That a person should rise to high office and then indulge corruption of any kind is despicable, particularly when they feast on the backs of the poor and ascend while others are abandoned to eke out a desperate existence.

The world over, corruption contaminates the choices of the powerful. Not content to have gained so much, it seems their greed has been awoken and it knows of no satisfaction.

All power must always be held to account.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
