DOMINIC LAWSON HAS LOST THE PLOT

 Comparing circumcision with baptism is risible. Suggesting it is in a different category to FGM is disturbing as it indicates how even the intelligent can allow prejudice and vested interest to intrude upon their rationality. Religion, in any form, visited upon the young, distorts their ability to engage objectively with the world. However, religious practices that inflict abusive mutilation upon babies, children and young people are heinous, intolerable and should attract a criminal sentence.
