A HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL?

 We can build edifices of stone to lament the past but are unable to recognise our complicity with the holocausts of our day. 

 During the war we chose not to bomb the railway lines leading to the death camps. 

 Today we choose to allow the waves to consume refugees off Lampedusa, chemicals to consume Syria's children, land mines and cluster bombs to main the poor and Palestinian school children to be scorched by incoming missiles.

  Will we be erecting edifices for them in the future or should we search our consciences in the present and set about building a different world together?
