ANGLICANS HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME

Anglicans hang your heads in shame or leave the Church of England in droves. How can you with any integrity attend an Anglican Church when it is now being led by a man who has knowingly allowed a predatory priest to not only remain in position but be promoted and honoured, having violated and violating so many. There are no excuses. You have overlooked the systemic discrimination against women. You have tolerated the disabled being barred from ordination and the divorced from sacramental marriage. You have passed silently by as the LGBTQIA+ community haS been shafted and ostracised. And now, when those in authority have known about prolific predators who have destroyed the innocence of the young and  yet done nothing, you still look away and pay homage in their church palaces of pretence. But don’t think that God is listening, that God is pleased, that Christ is being distributed in bread and wine. Oh no. Far from it. The Devil laughs as you lack the backbone to act honourably and enjoys you bowing your morality to evil’s reign and at Communion, you feast on the broken bodies of the predator’s victims and drink from the chalice, the tears of the abused. Cottrell has shown himself to be a man of fickle words and vacuous soul, and you….what have you shown yourself to be…. fawning pawns in the grip of a vile institution or Christ’s moral warriors, standing for truth and justice and shaking the dust of the Anglican Church from your feet.

I AM PROUD OF MY WRITING, FOR JESUS’S SAKE, THAT HAS HAD ME FOUND INNOCENT IN HEAVEN, BUT TWICE A CRIMINAL ON THE EARTH. THE FIRST IN 1990 WHEN I WROTE A BIBLICAL TEXT ON THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT IN PEACEFUL PROTEST ABOUT THE BOMBING OF YOUNG IRAQI RECRUITS DURING THE FIRST GULF WAR. THE SECOND, IN 2016 WHEN I WROTE ON MY BLOG, TO ALERT THE PUBLIC ABOUT A PAEDOPHILE, AND WAS SUCCESSFUL IN FORCING THE AUTHORITIES TO STOP HIM HAVING ACCESS TO CHILDREN. THERE WAS ALMOST A THIRD! IN 1997, WHEN I WAS ARRESTED FOR NAILING MY PROPOSALS FOR REFORM OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND ON THE DOOR OF CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL. WORDS ARE POWERFUL MESSAGES THAT CHALLENGE  CORRUPTION, CONFRONT THE WICKED AND CREATE A BETTER WORLD. JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD AND HIS FOLLOWERS ARE CALLED  TO COMMUNICATE HIS WORDS,  IRRESPECTIVE OF THE COST.
