NINA GROSS HONOURS HER BELOVED SISTER ALICE GROSS
Nina Gross honours her beloved sister with her wise and instructive comments. The media must reform to respect the trauma of families, whose loved ones have been violated or murdered. Repeatedly photographs of victims are not only placed alongside their assailants, but are also published in a random manner whenever the story or a related one is covered. Each time I shudder at the additional agony I fear the family will be forced to experience at the hands of whoever has chosen to casually use the photograph to 'illustrate' their item. At times it can be years after, that a report will refer back to a previous murder. For the bereaved, there is no warning given. They are watching the TV or opening a newspaper and they are confronted with their deepest distress. This is unacceptable and must be regulated.
