WE ARE GOING TO INSTALL A SOLAR POWERED WATER PUMP IN AN AFRICAN VILLAGE
This year we are flying to the Gambia to see a village that has no water supply. We are then going to pay ourselves, for a bore hole to be sunk and a solar powered water pumping system to be installed.
While we are there, we will also visit a second village that has no water supply. We will then return early next year to see the village we have sponsored, with its new water supply.
Meanwhile, we intend to raise the £8000 required for the second village. We will donate all the money we raise in December, from our Christmas lights, towards this. If you would like to be involved in this project, where ALL of the money will be spent in Africa and where we will personally verify the success of the project and publish photographs of it, then please send your donations to me, marked WATER. If you would like details of my account to transfer a donation, contact me at:

I will keep a running total of donations for this second village on the following blog page:

We hope to be able to have raised the money for the second village by early next year. We hope to be able to keep an annual momentum going so that we are able to provide one new village per year with water and visit annually to be able to verify and record the work that has been done. We also intend to continue to support the villages in other areas of development. I have researched many charities and organisations that work in this field and have found one that takes no expenses for itself, but that ensures all the money donated reaches its intended target.
We would be very grateful for your support
