PETER KAY NEEDS TO START TRYING ON NEW SHOES

When will comedians learn that they can only joke about sensitive issues when they have walked in the shoes of the person, joked about. As Mahatma Ghandi said,
“Only curiosity about the fate of others, the ability to put ourselves in their shoes, and the will to enter their world through the magic of imagination, creates this shock of recognition. Without this empathy there can be no genuine dialogue, and we as individuals and nations will remain isolated and alien, segregated and fragmented.”
If Kay had walked the walk and known the terror and discrimination levelled still against those who inhabit experiences of life within the LGBTIQ community, he would never have uttered such a reactionary 'joke'.

IN 1997, WHEN I WAS ARRESTED FOR NAILING MY PROPOSALS FOR REFORM OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND ON THE DOOR OF CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL. WORDS ARE POWERFUL MESSAGES THAT CHALLENGE  CORRUPTION, CONFRONT THE WICKED AND CREATE A BETTER WORLD. JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD AND HIS FOLLOWERS ARE CALLED  TO COMMUNICATE HIS WORDS,  IRRESPECTIVE OF THE COST.
