THE INNOCENT NEED NO POSTHUMOUS PARDONS

Those who are innocent need no posthumous pardons. They have acted with honour, stuck nobly to the truth, faced the indignities the bigoted, the manipulable, the self-interested, the corrupt and the criminal have thrown at them, held their heads high and died, never robbed of their integrity or their virtue. Those who now wish to profit by appearing concerned for past injustice are themselves complicit with the present system of injustice, that repeats the offence by continuing to convict and jail the innocent, and renders such posthumous games equivocal.
