354 ACTS OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT AND YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE GIVING TO CHARITY

354 cases of child protection or sexual harassment by these charities in one year, while the public believed innocently they were giving help to the poor. Dismissals of the perpetrators alone will not solve the systemic problem and will leave the aid sector doomed. Legislation must be introduced requiring organisations to follow established protocols regarding safeguarding, with criminal charges available if flouted.
