WHEN YOU CAN SMELL A RAT IN THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND

The status of inquiries and investigations are being undermined on every side. They are often the showpiece of liars and strategists, who dupe and silence the public by swallowing up the energy of their protest in the protracted and tedious processes involved in examination. Such attention to detail would be admirable if, at the end, the truth were told. Experience indicates otherwise. Hillsborough.....Bloody Sunday..... are among the most shocking. Now an inquiry has been seen to exonerate Bishop Bell, but Welby, to give him his due, has broken rank, and is standing by his criticism of the bishop accused of 'great wickedness'. The stench is strong.
