LIAM ALLAN IS SO RIGHT

Who decides? The police and the Crown Prosecution Service, even the judges, decide what is and isn't relevant to a case. They are all susceptible to influence and partiality according to their interests and their views. Liam Allan highlights the fundamental injustice that this can occasion, and that the recent joint review into his collapsed trial entirely missed this point. The defence must be able to have access to all the prosecution material and must be free to present their defence in the way they choose. Anything less than this results in the innocent being convicted and imprisoned.
