1,770 CHILDREN A DAY FACE THE PERIL OF STATE INTERVENTION

1,770 children a day face the peril of state intervention. 94,000 in the UK are in care.  It may be children with an 'easy bruising' condition, torn from their sweet homes and traumatised, only later to be returned. It may be children from disturbed situations, but often, not as disturbed as the nightmare they will experience at the hands of the state. There are 4000 allegations of abuse while in care per year.  Children in care are 4 times more likely to end up having mental health difficulties, and up to a third will end up in prison. So much for state intervention. Think very carefully before you ever refer a child to the state.
