WAKE UP TO THE EDUCATION SCAM

It's about time that we woke up to the scam of education. The education industry greedily consumes all the money thrown at it and the vice-Chancellors, lecturers, heads and executives mimic their peers in other sectors, revelling in fat cat salaries. Universities charge exorbitant fees and straddle their students with onerous debts. Foreign students are treated like cash cows and are charged unjustifiably hiked rates. Meanwhile it is quite apparent that while processing our children along its conveyor belt suits some, it utterly fails others. The one approach fits all suits the educationalists but not our children. Greater choice and diverse approaches must be introduced and then competition will hopefully drive down the power the industry wields and the inflated incomes.
