THE PREVENT PROGRAMME

It would be better if this model of responding to deviant behaviour was adopted throughout the judicial system. Instead of criminalising individuals and introducing them to a punishment based system that only exacerbates their offending, there should be a reformative, rehabilitative and re-educational approach that creates good citizens and safeguards society from those otherwise caught in a spiral of criminality.
