PIERS - BUT YOU AND I PRESENT AS QUITE EFFEMINATE?

Piers you really don't know what you are trying to say here, in this self contradicting piece. Interestingly it reflects the very confusion about which you are writing. On the one hand you state you are a man, married with children, a defined masculine presence, requiring no equivocation or new lingual forms. On the other, there are, in your experience brave individuals, like Caitlyn Jenner, who have defined themselves differently. However, you object to the activists who bully over language and definitions. Then you produce literally your 'throw away' line, keeping up your theme of garbage, when you say that children are born 'boys and girls'.  Sorry Piers, that's the point you seem to be missing - they are born - fact. As to their 'gender identity', that is, you have made clear, up for grabs and not to be dictated to by those in the delivery suite. You see, it's a complicated things this identity of ours. You are 'identifying proudly as a male' , as I do, but others comment that we present as quite effeminate? Just having the two crude categories can in no way encompass our species' glorious heterogeneity.
