THE DEATH THROES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND

It survives only because of its wealth. The billions raked in over the years through advantage and coercion. These last digital twitches represent the final death throes of an irrelevant and prejudiced institution. Its 'gospel' is dishonest, resistant to knowledge and a source of discrimination. Its churches are mausoleums of a former social tyranny. Its funerals are cold, abusive and impersonal. Its liturgies, turgid, patronising and elitist. Its clergy, guilty of child abuse, or its concealment. It has had ample opportunity to reform, but has doggedly refused and these forays into the Internet, are just the latest marketing ploy, to use its financial muscle, to sell a bogus product.
