BORIS AND HIS HOLIDAY FANTASIES

The likes of Boris share the same cynical detachment by which they are able to glide through their well oiled, wonderfully resourced lives without so much as gaining a splinter.
For Boris, Libya isn't a country with human beings rent apart with suffering, not least because we decided to play a real time 'Call of Duty' special edition with their country,  it's another potential holiday resort, once the body parts, the blood and the flies have been dealt with. For Boris, Brexit is a chance to close the perimeter gates on his national estate, so that he can cycle more freely without the danger of bumping into a migrant, a refugee or even a European. The rest of the world's plight, the carnage, the malnutrition, the heartbreak, can be joked away, with the hope, that one day he might be able to lie down on some new foreign beach, undisturbed by bodies floating in the water.
