THEY ARE TREATING CHARLIE LIKE A DOG
The doctors are arguing that keeping Charlie alive is "against his welfare".
How can such a hypocritical and illogical position be entertained in the High Court? Or is this another example of how the state pretends to care for children but in fact regards them on the same level as pets?
Vets routinely use the same argument to justify why a loved animal should be put down. Here it is being applied to Charlie.
Of course he can't speak for himself, so it allows the State to jump in and claim that it is more concerned for his best interests than the parents.
Such a strange position, when the State wants him 'put down' and the parents are battling to keep him alive.
Adults facing terminal conditions and who want to die are prohibited from doing so and anyone who aids them risks committing a criminal offence, but apparently those who are conspiring together to have Charlie killed, can do so with immunity and are even claiming such a high moral ground, that they are not willing to listen to the hundreds of thousands of people objecting, nor popes or presidents.
We must wake up to the corruption at play at every level of our institutions.
