THE SQUANDERING OF CANCER PATIENT'S LIVES
On the pretext of offering hope, cancer patients are allured into horrific treatment schedules that rob them of their last days of quality life on earth and with loved ones.
At times, the treatment plans may be applicable, essential and life saving. However, all too often, I hear story after story, from bereaved relatives of how they lost their vital last days with their loved ones, with pointless medical procedures.
If it's the choice between living a shorter time with a quality of life, or a longer time, being poisoned by chemotherapy or gruelling hospital visits, then the shorter, is by far, the most attractive.
Another point to be considered is that the doctors are not, only considering the patient's best interests. They rely too upon data and empirical processes for their drug and treatment therapies and every patient injected with various cocktails of chemotherapy drugs or given radiation therapy adds to the data bank. So don't be quite so trusting of the doctor's advice, even at death's door. Make sure you think for yourself and choose your own destiny, even the writing of your last chapter.
