LORD CAREY, PETER BALL AND ARCHBISHOP WELBY - JUST ANOTHER BIG CHILD ABUSE COVER UP
It sickens me to the core when the 'great and the good', in this case Archbishop Welby and his Anglican cohorts, take public action over historic child abuse, but so so late, and so so after they have no choice but to do otherwise, when they have been forced into a corner and their arms are right up their backs.
And what is more, what they do is irrelevant, achieves absolutely nothing and rather then help the victims of child sexual abuse, it actually harms them.
Why?
Because it all plays into the great game the 'leaders' in our society appear good at playing, that they are taking this whole child sexual abuse things seriously, with investigations and special police operations and child protection policies and safeguarding structures.
In truth, it's all just a front to silence the noisy victims and wrap their inconvenient protests up in pseudo actions and empty promises.
What actually happens, is that the public remain duped about the level of child offending that exists in society, that those who want to inform the public about known child abusers, even the media are gagged, even convicted, and that those who are guilty of cover-ups, like Carey, are protected, until their actions finally come to light, when the 'great and the good' are seen to leap into 'righteous' action, that is in fact a lie in motion.
