14 YEAR OLD CHILD AFRAID IN BEXLEY CELL

Banged up. Four concrete walls pressing in. Artificial light. Steel door. Claustrophobic.
Frightened.
Disorientated.
Without a parent.
Without a responsible adult.
Alone.
Banged up.
Head in hands.
He'd been at school that morning.
Playground fight.
Punches had been thrown.
A parent complained. Police were called.
He was arrested.
Banged up.
In an adult cell.
In breach of the PACE regulations.
There were so many playground fights during my childhood.
No one was carted off to prison.
But this is Bexley.
Bexley Custody Suite abuses children.
