AND WHO MADE YOU A BISHOP THEN?
ermmm, well was it a cat, a spider, a group of old men, God, the church, another bishop or a cup of tea? Deep theological questions are at stake. Whose hand laid the charge. One that had interfered with little children or beaten pupils or made advances to ordinands or in celibate frustration had pleasured themselves? - If, by some tiny remote chance it was an unloaded agenda free factual enquiry - Bishop Richard Palmer at a public consecration at St Augustine's, Westgate on Sea in December 2000. If it was facetious, then let the inane responses begin....but remember El Papa said we were brothers now, even brother bishops!!
