OUTRAGING PUBLIC DECENCY
Instead of the state persecuting Stephen Gough for his natural and harmless nudity, perhaps it should be attending to the fashion industry and the deliberate designing of clothes to draw attention to the sexual areas, to make a sexual statement and to provoke a sexual response. Even contaminating children's clothes in the same manner.
Perhaps the state should be concerned when a child passes a newspaper stand or opens the Sun or eats fish and chips on page 3 and is presented with commercially driven and sanctioned nudity.
Stephen Gough's nudity is stripped of such sexuality. It is innocent and poses deep and disturbing questions about the ignorance and hypocrisy of our prejudices that we visit randomly on others to their detriment.
