ANELKA'S GESTURE

Anelka's gesture appears to have revealed the simmering racism that pervades so much of public life. Any such discriminatory attitude must be exposed and treated severely.
Too many innuendos, winks and loaded humour continue to sanitise what is a gross abuse of our humanity.
 The holocaust and apartheid are unimaginable horrors that blight our history, yet we continue to handle lightly the toxic poison of regarding other human beings as inferior and to be mocked, hounded or abused.
